5 Bodyweight Moves You Can Do Anywhere

It’s August.  It’s sunny, hot and humid. You want to workout but you also want to get out and take advantage of these summer days and nights while you still can.  Every year (with the exception of some extra challenges this year), we are here in this same place deciding between sticking to our fitness routine and staying committed to our goals or you know….YOLO!  ß Do people still say that?  😊

Anyway, you get the picture and so do we, so here’s what you should do.  Instead of skipping the gym all together, focus on keeping your workouts short, sweet and sweaty!  We’ve put together two Bodyweight Workouts for you that can be done anywhere; at the gym, home, park, campsite, beach or even hotel if you happen to be out of town.  These workouts are simple but effective, leaving you feeling energized with plenty of time to enjoy the day.

Alternating Pushups                                                      Sumo Squats

Squat to Lunge                                                                Tricep Push-ups

Up/Down Plank                                                             Alternating Lateral Lunge

Split Jumps                                                                      Sit-Ups

Jumping Jacks                                                                 Burpees

Perform each exercise for 45 seconds, and repeat the circuit 4x.  If you’ve got 20 minutes to spare before heading out, this is how you should spend it.  And, if you happen to have a pair of dumbbells don’t be afraid to add them in for a little extra burn in those legs. 😉 Enjoy!
