Are you worried about returning to the gym? Unsure of how you’ll feel once you’re there? Worried about whether or not it is safe enough? If you find yourself worrying or getting bogged down with thoughts of all the ways things will be different, TRY THIS exercise…
Grab a pen and paper and actually write down all the things that you love and miss about being at the gym. It’s important to write it down so that you can re-read it once you’re done.
Here are just a few that come to mind for us!
– Your fit fam: You know who they are. The staff, instructors and other members that you only see and talk to at the gym. They miss you and they’re thinking about you.
– The energy: There’s something to be said about being surrounded by others who are working towards the same thing – it truly is energizing!
– The variety: The variety of equipment and classes to chose from. Lift, dance, kick…whatever you want to do – it’s here for you!
Be sure to read your list over and over again until you feel yourself getting excited. Because while there may be some short-term restrictions and extra safety precautions being taken, there are also so many things that are staying the same and getting even better here at Town Place Fitness!
EVEN BETTER? YES, EVEN BETTER! What’s better than doing Body Combat with your crew, you ask? How about doing it on the rooftop?! You’ll be able to punch, kick and KIAI! as loud as you need to. What’s better than doing Sprint in a dark studio side by side with all of the other cycling enthusiasts? What about sprinting it out in a big, open garage where you’ll have plenty of room to sweat it out!

One thing is for sure, while the location of some of the classes might be different, the energy is sure to be the same! The instructors that you know and love are the same. The heart-pumping beats of the music will be the same! The workout will be amazing and that feeling of absolute accomplishment when it’s all said and done will not only feel the same but feel 100x better after all this time!
The only way to really know if you’re ready to re-start your fitness journey is to give it a try.
